Here is to great architecture filming! A short 2:20 min video to enjoy pure lines, elegance, lightness, strength and power.
The latest addition to the Paddington Central area, TWO KINGDOM STREET is a cutting edge building offering 265,000 sq ft of environmental friendly prime office space. The building designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Architects (KPF) and built by SKANSKA incorporates a unique internal ‘reflecting pool’ within the atrium complemented by semi-scenic lifts and glazed lift lobbies.
“TWO KINGDOM STREET lends itself to beautiful and creative filming and it was a real pleasure to work on this project. Filming such modern and sustainable development in an area which only a few years ago was an ode to ugliness and desolation shows the determination of London to stay ahead of the game” says Simon Warren, film director at Story7. “I hope there will be many more developers, builders and architects who understand the power of video to market their business and will give us the opportunity to film more incredible buildings like this one”.
Dagmar Scheibenreif, one of our favourite DoP’s decided to shoot the building on HDSLR using the latest Tilt and Shift Canon lenses giving the end result the look and feel we wanted. Her constant striving for perfection as well as her ability to capture the essence as well as highlight the beauty of an image is what makes her stand out as a cinematographer. “Simon and I understood each other instantly when confronted with this unique space, we developed the same approach to filming and I trust it shows in the result.”
